Lucy pointed out that CSS Galleries are one of the worst culprits after finding the following list of Twitter profiles for galleries. It takes a good designer minutes to make a striking background, creating a much more professional look to the profile.

Take a look at DDA’s Twitter profile, I did this in a couple of minutes, just by branding it to match the DDA website and including contact details and a short profile about who we are and what we do – this gives it a much more personalised feeling.
